Numeracy is Literacy
Get involved in the exciting new Rotary literacy project, “I Love When We Count.” By providing educational content in a DVD format we can share literacy information with those that need it most those with low-literacy.

How You Can Be Involved
Rotary Clubs organize initiatives where the DVD is given to families for free. Your Rotary club is recognized on the cover with your Rotary logo. The President of Rotary International 2007/2008, Wilfred J. Wilkinson, provides a message to parents as a DVD special feature. Families receive a gift of literacy and are reminded of your commitment and participation in literacy initiatives.

We will pool all Rotary Zone 22 orders together to get the lowest possible bulk rate. We are aiming for a bulk rate of $3.50 per DVD. All clubs that are participating in the bulk rate should have order forms submitted by of September 26th, 2008. Orders placed after will go in the next ordering cycle.

Math is Everywhere
I Love When We Count” emphasizes family numeracy learning as a part of a child’s everyday world. It will help parents integrate and highlight math activities in daily life. “I Love When We Count” is for families with children ages 0-6.

Give the Gift of Literacy
I Love When We Count” is an affordable and deeply impactful literacy service project. Over 55,000 families have received “I Love When You Read” and “I Love When We Count” DVD’s for free. Let’s share these gifts of literacy even further.

Tremain Media is pleased to be working with Daybreak Rotary in this exciting literacy project. Daybreak Rotary's contribution will be used to help fund the production of a DVD that focuses on numeracy titled, “I Love When You Count.” Rotary's contribution will also be used to film a DVD extra feature titled “A Message For Families” by current Rotary International President, Wilf Wilkinson.

The Rotary Club of Campbell River-Daybreak will get their logo on the back cover, they will receive a line in the credits and be recognized as one of the funders of this educational DVD. This logo and the by-line in the credits will be on every “I Love When You Count” DVD duplicated for any group or any purpose.

Rotary will also have access to a Rotary branded DVD made especially for the sale to other Rotary groups. That DVD will have a large Rotary logo on the front cover and include President Wilf Wilkinson's DVD extra feature message.

Campbell River Daybreak Rotary will offer the Rotary branded DVD to other Rotary groups as a literacy initiative. Families will benefit from these initiatives by receiving the "I Love When You Count" DVD for free. A percentage of profits will go back to Daybreak Rotary to be used for community literacy projects and initiatives.

Tremain Media hopes that the Rotary Club of Campbell River-Daybreak will become recognized within Rotary throughout North America as the go-to group for innovative, Rotary-branded, literacy solutions such as “I Love When You Count.” We also look forward to, once there has been successful adoption of this initial project, including “I Love When You Read” under this same umbrella.
